We call Mojave Air & Space Port (Mojave, California) our home – an aerospace jewel and renowned hub for research and innovation in the emerging commercial space industry. It’s arguably the most conducive environment in the world for building and flying envelope-expanding machines. Sonic booms are frequent, unidentifiable aircraft are commonplace, and the occasional howl of rocket motors rattles the dust off the Joshua trees. Between Edwards AFB and Mojave Air & Space Port, the airspace above is rich with “firsts” in experimental flight. The X-1, X-15, Voyager, Virgin Global Flyer, SpaceShipOne, and countless others, took to the skies over our little edge of the desert.

A lot of people think Mojave is the Middle of Nowhere, but it’s actually the Center of Everywhere!  The “outside world” is way more accessible to Mojave than most people think.  In just 90 minutes by car, you can surf (or fish!) the beautiful Pacific Ocean, shop on Beverly Hills’ famous Rodeo Drive or go to an NBA or NHL game at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.  Just 1 hour from Mojave, we have whitewater rafting on the Kern River, jet skiing in Lake Isabella and snowboarding in the San Gabriel Mountains.  And if you love the outdoors, we have amazing rock-hopping, off-roading, hiking and photography opportunities aplenty literally on our doorstep!  We are right near the foot of California’s beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range and for the more adventurous, gambling in Las Vegas or exploring Death Valley National Park are both just a little more than 3 hours away.
